FTW Second Grading! :)

                                                                                                                                   September 25, 2013

Dear Math Journal,
Owh. How I've missed blogging. Especially my Math Journal. It's been a long long time since the last day that I made a blog for the first grading. And now, I'm here again to start a new journey, to face new obstacles and challenges regarding my studies. :)

First grading has already ended and I'm looking forward for the things that might happen this second grading. Today's our card day and I was very very happy after seeing my card. I know that I've done a lot and studied hard and this is the result. I'm so proud of myself and also my parents and grandpa. :)

As I was saying, first grading has ended already and that means second grading has started, too. Honestly, I'm more pressured now because my parents and I are expecting to maintain my grades. I know that they will get disappointed if I don't do my best for this grading. I know that God will guide me all through the way. :)

New lessons again in Math! Yohoo! And we're now on Trigonometry :) Wow! All I can say is just wow! Because this is my second time to meet this category in Math and yet, I just can't still get the cycle -.- We've started with Circular Functions. In this lesson, we studied about angles and angle rotations. We also learned the different name parts (terminal side, initial side and the vertex) of an angle. The measure of the angle is negative if the rotation of the angle is clockwise and vice versa if the rotation of the angle is counterclockwise.

The next lesson's about Measures of Angles. I've already encountered the word "radian" when I was still reviewing at Newtons and I'm glad that I've encountered this word again. In this lesson, we've learned how to convert degrees to radian and radian to degrees. I enjoyed the discussion at that moment :)

Next is about The Angles In Standard Position. In this lesson, I've learned about coterminal angles and its meaning. Back, angles in standard position are angles whose vertices falls at the origin and the initial sides conside with the positive x-axis. So if one angle's vertex is not at the origin, it only means that it is not in the standard position. Afterwhich, Ma'am gave us an assignment for us to practice our skills concerning this topic.

Next was, she let us memorize the table for degree, its equivalent radian, Reference Angle, Coordinate Points, Sin, Cosine and Tangent in the unit circle. At first, I was confused with these such things because they seem so difficult. I'm still adjusting with this subject. Just kidding. :) But Ma'am Lala promised that she would help us to master this table for us to know more about Unit Circles.

Lastly, we tackled about Sin and Cosine Functions. This was another fun topic for me because .. (Am I still going to say this? XD) sin and cosine are already tackled in our Physics subject but unfortunately, unluckily, yet, I still can't understand how to use these. Luckily, Ma'am taught us a clearer view of this topic. And that gained me more knowledge and technique about sin and cosine. Thank God :)

That's all for today Journal :)
